THE LEGAL STATUS OF GREY WOLF IN CZECH REPUBLIC AND THE COMPARATION WITH THE NEIGHBOURING STATES Abstract The article evaluates the legal status of grey wolf in Czech Republic which provides the direct protection to this animal. Based on the comparation with the neighbouring states, Germany (especially federal state Saxony), Poland and Slovakia, the article is trying to show the legal differences of the legal status in between these states and offer a solution for revealed deficiencies in Czech law, since the number of wolfs dwelling in the wild areas of the country has been gradually growing.
