Úvodník

Also, in another paper Hana Müllerová deals with the substantive grounds for solving collisions in case of wind power plants. There have always been serious collisions between environmental protection and economic interests, thus between sustainable and unsustainable practices. With the progress in combatting climate change, new collisions have appeared even inside the group of diverse sustainable efforts. This article takes wind power plants as representing renewables and protection of birds, species, habitats and landscape character as representing highly valued nature protection interests. The objective of the study is to examine what level of substantive legal protection legislation gives to the said interests. Monika Feigerlová and Tereza Snopková discusses the nature of BAT, resp. BAT Conclusion, in the context of integrated prevention, at both EU and national levels, and assesses the practical implications of the annulment decision. In the another sections of this issue the authors deals for example with case law of the Czech and European courts or with the new peer-reviewed publications concerning environmental law.
