Expropriation and expropriation proceedings

Abstract The paper is a review of anmonograph called „Expropriation and expropriation proceedings“, which was published by Wolters Kluwer CR at the beginning of 2021. The publication covers all major topics related to expropriation and expropriation proceedings. From the definition of this institute and its legal- historical aspects, through the constitutional conditions of expropriation to the valid and effective legal regulation contained in the Act on Expropriation (No. 184/2006 Coll.), as well as special legal regulations (including regulations in the field of environmental protection). From the point of view of environmental law, the most interesting are the passages concerning the exposition titles defined in theWater Act (No. 254/2001 Coll.) and in the Nature and Landscape Protection Act (No. 114/1992 Coll.).
