SURVEY OF CZECH INTERNATIONAL LAW BIBLIOGRAPHY SURVEY OF CZECH INTERNATIONAL LAW BIBLIOGRAPHY The Survey covers Czech books, articles and chapters dealing with international law and also texts of Czech authors published abroad. It includes also selected texts focused on private international law, European Law and the Czech constitutional law, that all reflect international law aspects. In her study, Veronika Bílková introduces into the Czech literature a new topic – the Responsibility to Protect. Group of authors – Pavel Šturma, Vladimír Balaš, Jindřiška Syllová and Věra Jirásková – prepared a monography devoted to international treaties, especially their negotiation and implemetation. Another comprehensive collective work (Jan Ondřej, Pavel Šturma, Veronika Bílková, Dalibor Jílek and others) deals with international humanitarian law. Two new textbooks of international law, one of them written by Harald Christian Scheu and the second one – a translation from Slovenian – written by the President of the Republik of Slovenia, Prof. Danilo Türk, broadened the offer of international law literature in the Czech language. Concerning the journals, currently there is no Czech journal specialized only in international law. Authors dealing with international law publish their studies particularly in Právník [Lawyer], Právní rozhledy [Legal Review] and if it relates to international criminal courts and justice, also in Trestněprávní revue [Criminal Law Review]. However, this Yearbook should play the role of such a journal specialized in international law. Moreover, the old-new edition of Studie z mezinárodního práva [Studies in International Law], published by Academia press in Prague until 1990, was resumed by the Charles University, Faculty of Law. The translations of original titles in square brackets were not authorized. A. Books Veronika Bílková, Odpovědnost za ochranu (R2P): nová naděje nebo staré pokrytectví?
