SURVEY OF CZECH INTERNATIONAL LAW BIBLIOGRAPHY

SURVEY OF CZECH INTERNATIONAL LAW BIBLIOGRAPHY

The present Survey of Czech International Law Bibliography provides an overview of Czech publications on international law, including public and private international law, as well as works on European and constitutional law that address international aspects, covering the years 2024 and the first half of 2025. It includes monographs, articles, book chapters, and papers in conference proceedings authored by Czech scholars, whether published domestically or abroad. Czech international law scholarship continues to be characterised by its strong institutional foundations. The public universities and the Czech Society of International Law remain central to the publication of academic works, notably through the Czech Yearbook of Public and Private International La w, which has become the leading specialised journal devoted to both public and private international law. Other periodicals, such as Právník [The Lawyer], The Lawyer Quarterly, and the International and Comparative Law Review, maintain their relevance for international law scholarship and debate. The number of Czech-authored publications written in English and published by international publishers continues to increase. Czech scholars are contributing to global academic debates on topics such as international sanctions, the use of force, climate change litigation, corporate responsibility, and the regulation of artificial intelligence and new technologies. Recent publications remained influenced by the international legal implications of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine — particularly in relation to international criminal law, state responsibility, and sanctions. Czech authors have also explored issues such as space law, environmental protection and the human rights dimensions of emerging technologies. Translations in brackets were not authorised; in some cases, they were taken from databases of publishing activities maintained by universities and research institutions in the Czech Republic. Artificial intelligence was used to propose a translation of the original title into English. A.
