With the arrival of electric vehicles and the establishment of this new and more extensive value chain, the automotive sector will have to connect with other agents so that electric mobility can conquer space and the market. Among them are the distributors, owners of the electrophores, operators of the charging infrastructure, users of the vehicles, financial services companies, etc. It is necessary that these agents are interconnected so that the development of electric vehicles is successful. As the expansion of the charging infrastructure is closely related to the success and greater adoption of electric vehicles, many of the new business opportunities are in this branch, ranging from the creation of software to assist in the location of the electrophores, to the development of maintenance and installation services. Despite all these new business opportunities for the automotive industry in the future, in the short term, however, electric vehicles are still far from being a profitable option for auto manufacturers, mainly due to the costs of batteries. In the future, electric vehicles are likely to be more profitable than internal combustion vehicles, as battery prices drop. The transition will be difficult and costly. The local auto industry needs to prepare for the technology to be developed nationally. Brazil is expected to enter the global value chains, improving the country’s ability to compete globally (Barbosa, 2016). 4. Opportunities for national electric mobility In Brazil and in Europe, society sees mobility as a service, that is, it is increasingly expected that displacements occur in the most efficient and satisfactory way possible for users. Nowadays, most buyers still consider economical, comfortable and sporty- designed vehicles to be crucial determinants of their choices. In addition, from the moment the cost of purchasing a car, added to the inconveniences of this acquisition (such as bottlenecks, taxes, difficulty finding parking, pollution, etc.), are greater than the utility gains obtained with the car, consumers and owners will tend to migrate to another type of furniture. Electric cars fit perfectly in this new concept of mobility as a service. The greater its use, as in sharing services, for example, the faster your payback will be, especially if available in urban areas. Another characteristic favorable to the replacement of conventional combustion vehicles for electric vehicles is the greater efficiency and intelligence of the latter, in addition to the fact that they do not emit gases that cause the greenhouse effect. The central idea of car sharing services is that individual transport is used more rationally, when it is really necessary. By making electric vehicles available for sharing, it has the advantage of eliminating the obstacle of high initial acquisition costs, allowing users to use electric vehicles without having to buy them. The culture of sharing is spreading in society and changing the mentality of younger people, who are no longer interested in buying a car, since, with a cell phone on hand, it is possible to have several cars available and at an affordable cost – a service called door-to-door. The same is true for current vehicle owners who are increasingly less interested in purchasing cars in the future. Society has realized that it is not advantageous to buy a
