In contrast to the number of employees, wages in the automotive industry are continuously increasing. In 2022, the average gross monthly wage in the sector will reach 45.9 thousand CZK. e average wage for nal manufacturers of motor vehicles was 15 thousand CZK higher (61 thousand CZK), while the average wage for manufacturers of bodies, trailers and semi-trailers was 8.5 thousand CZK lower (37 thousand CZK). e average wage in the whole manufacturing industry reached 36.4 thousand CZK in 2022 and CZK 39.9 thousand across the entire country. And even the partial cooling during the coronavirus pandemic did not change this. In 2022, the total personnel costs in the entire automotive industry reached CZK 131.5 billion. Parts and accessories manufacturers accounted for most of this (CZK 78 billion). For the nal automobile manufacturers, personnel costs reached CZK 51 billion in 2022 and were one- fth higher compared to the pre-Covidian year 2019.
