ABSTRACT The modern automotive industry increasingly relies on the use of artificial intelligence and automated manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality and innovation. The publication gradually deals with modern automated robotic production processes with artificial intelligence, which represent a key factor in industrial revolution 4.0. The current trend of using artificial intelligence in the automotive industry is unstoppable and is transforming the way production processes are managed and optimized. The publication focuses on diverse areas of artificial intelligence in the context of quality and operational research in automotive manufacturing. Specifically, it presents the issue of the business traveler, fuzzy clustering of components, fuzzy reliability, and the publication closes with examples of the application of artificial intelligence in assistance systems. The aim of the publication is not only to introduce various techniques and means of artificial intelligence, but rather to provide readers with inspiration on how they can use these procedures in the search for new solutions, based on the examples presented. This publication was created at the Škoda Auto University, o.p.s. as part of the grant solution: „The use of artificial intelligence to solve economic, managerial and technical problems in the automotive industry“, number: IGA/2021/01 David, from the funds of support for the long-term conceptual development of a research organization, which was provided by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Science in the years 2021 to 2023.
