disparity between Member States in protecting LGBTQ+ rights and enhancing the means of seeking reparation could be pivotal in this regard. Finally, awareness of these deficiencies is crucial. Without these insights, it is impossible to create a space for critical reflection on this issue and to contribute to a substantive discussion leading to its enhancement. Although it is beyond the scope of this article, it aimed to highlight the lack of research conducted on certain EU institutions providing mechanisms for seeking remedy regarding LGBTQ+ individuals. Instead of focusing on ad hoc solutions following breaches of provisions protecting the LGBTQ+ minority in isolated cases, such as in Poland and Hungary, the focus should be on a comprehensive resolution that considers the complex process of enlargement and its impact on the current situation in the EU as a whole.
