3. User interface The user interface of this tool is a criterion which is the most important for majority companies. Very important is when the user interface is „user-friendly“ as possible. For example, it is necessary to analyse of production to display the charts clearly as possible. Additional criterion is to make it very easy for quickly understanding charts as possible because it is necessary to know where the company has the biggest gaps in production then management can respond and adapt production developments as soon as possible. Controllability of individual sections is also very important. Nobody wants to find exactly what they are looking for by dozens of clicks. Touch adaptation is also a function which definitely should not be missed. Most companies own touch screens, which can be used for example to present output from lines. For example, they also show the production team the trend where production is currently going. The touch environment of the production control system must be intuitive and graphically very nicely and professionally created. The most famous suppliers of the production control system are for example STIWA Group (2020) and its “Manufacturing Software”, which is focused primarily on automated systems used mainly in the automotive industry. If we will mark the machining industry, good choose is for example “Predator MDC ™ Software” (see Figure 3), which is for Machine Monitoring and Production Lines providing Real Time OEE & KPIs.
