Anotace Předložená práce se zabývá historickým vývojem právních norem, týkajících se lovu vlků v českých zemích, a jeho dopadem na stav a zánik místní vlčí populace. Na území dnešní České republiky od 13. století kontinuálně existovalo právní prostředí, které se k vlkům stavělo nepřátelsky, což vedlo k systematickému pronásledování této šelmy až do jejího úplného vyhubení. Práce analyzuje jednotlivé právní normy v podobě loveckých řádů, instrukcí, patentů, usnesení a zákonů, a uvádí také konkrétní příklady jejich užití v praxi formou komentovaných statistických záznamů množství ulovených vlků na vybraných jihočeských panstvích. Abstract The paper discusses the historical development of the legislation dealing with hunting of wolves in the Czech lands and its effect on the size and decline of the wolf population there. In the territory of the present-day Czech republic, legal framework hostile towards wolf was established as early as in the 13th century, and lasted continually ever since. This led to longstanding pursuit of this carnivoran and eventually to its extermination. The paper analyses particular acts of legislation, such as Hunting Ordinances, Instructions, Letters Patents, Statutes and Acts. It also presents factual examples of their usage, as it provides commented statistical data on amounts of wolves slain in several dominions in Southern Bohemia.
